Swinging furniture has massive appeal for being a comfortable, unique, and relaxing seating solution, but home goods retailer Pier 1 is now recalling more than 276,000 chairs and stands in the U.S. and Canada after numerous reports of fall injuries. The popular Swingasan chair has apparent stability issues, causing people to fall from the chair and seriously hurt themselves.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission has reported that the chairs and stands affected by the recall were sold between January 2010 and August 2015 in various styles and colors. During this time period, the store received 101 reports of accidents caused by the product, including 93 reports of tipping and eight reports of suspension hardware failure. So far, 23 people have been injured.

Consumers who own any style of the chair are asked to discontinue use of the product and will be offered either a repair kit or a full refund for returning the item to the store. Click here to view all 20 affected models.
